Compared to some other units this falls a little short in terms of battery life, but should be enough for most of us! Considering the unit’s size and the fact that it is just USB charging this is actually impressive. The
device charges in only 2.5 hours, which means you can spend less time waiting for your favorite fish finder to charge up!
For those who use USB devices all the time then we can see why this would be a great feature, but for older users and those who are less smart phone savvy, this may be more annoying than useful. The 6 hour battery life makes it usable for most scenarios and the USB charging will make it convenient for anyone who has a smart phone. The companion app is available on Android and iOS and it really is well thought out and provides a lot of information under the hood. It also makes the logging of your catches exciting by including a photo feature of your catches, so you have all your results logged in a single location.
