For just over $100 the Garmin represents tremendous value for money. The bright and easily readable 4 inch screen really does make all the difference when you are looking for your next catch in sunny weather. The display is obviously an important part of any fish finder, but the Garmin Striker Plus 4 with Dual-Beam transducer, has even more tricks up its sleeve. The quickdraw contours mapping software allows you store maps with 1′ contours for up to 2 million acres. The Dual Beam Transducer with Garmin Chip Sonar really does provide the very best images and has outstanding target seperation at this price point. Customers say this device works well and is easy to install. Although some customers have reported occasional malfunctions to this device, this seems to be an isolated case and Garmin Support have responded quickly to any complained. Overall we think this is a very affordable, compact, but well designed unit with outstanding features, absolutely perfect for use on a Kayak.
