In this review we will look at the ReelSonar Wireless Bluetooth Smart Fish Finder.
The iBobber from ReelSonar is essentially a fishing bobber for the 21st century! It not only tells you how deep your line and hook are, but also has GPS capability that records where it’s been when out on the water. Not to mention other features such as logging trips taken with time stamps, alerts of possible inclement weather conditions coming up-to-date information about fish populations in specific areas all help make this modern marvel one worth catching!
When I was offered an opportunity to review an innovative new product called The iBobber by Reel Sonar, I couldn’t resist giving it a whirl – especially since we had already planned our next fishing trip. What makes me say yes without hesitation?
Fishing bobbers are a common sight on lakes and rivers, where the water moves slowly. These brightly-colored floats attach to line that dangles down into the depths of whatever body of water you’re fishing in, making it easy for fishermen to know when they have caught something – as soon as there is movement below or tension at their end of the string! They can be used by people with any type or skill level too; if you’re just getting started then try using one controlled by your thumb rather than casting out bait farther away from yourself.
The features of this product are what really make it different to the competition, we will now run through some of the key features of this fishing bobber.

iBobber Wireless Fish Finder by ReelSonar (Video)
The iBobber from ReelSonar is quite different than a regular fishing bobber. It looks like an ordinary round white and red ball with two eyes for line connections, but the inside of it has some smarts packed in that plastic dome instead of being empty airhead space!
The iBobber is the ultimate fishing companion, with features that make it easy to catch more fish. It can tell you water temperature and other helpful information such as moon phase/rise/set times so you know when’s best to get out in boat (or head upriver). And if all this wasn’t enough: The app even includes weather reports with current high and low temperatures, humidity levels, barometer readings plus wind speed & direction!
The iBobber is a must have for anyone looking to spend more time fishing and less time worrying about battery life. The small device fits into the palm of your hand, but holds enough power to fully charge in as little as an hour or two.
The iBobber app is a great way to find out what’s happening in your pond. I had always wanted an easy and inexpensive way of checking on the fish, so when my daughter recommended it, she knew just where to go! The only downer was that at first the phone couldn’t connect with the device because there were too many other Bluetooth devices nearby (or maybe they were all mine). But after powering off and back up again several times we got everything cleared up enough for connection, and even some action like mapping our floor or seeing goldfish swimming around on our screen with its built-in Fish Finder.
iBobber’s versatility is what makes it such a cool product. For any fishing enthusiast, both veteran and novice alike, the iBobber will be an invaluable tool to have on hand when you’re out in the field or at home practicing your catch-and-release technique. I recommend packing one for those days where there’s not much going on; as they are so simple yet effective that even beginners can use them with ease!

Our Verdict
The iBobber is currently the 2nd most popular Fish Finder on Amazon.com. 53% of customers who bought this on Amazon.com gave it 5 stars and we think you will as well. With legions of fans, this Fish Finder does things a little differently to its competitors. This is a great choice if you have an up to date smartphone and you think you will always have it with you when out and about, the App really is a great addition and means this device really is very light and portable. It has accurate Sonar readings up to 135 feet deep, a 10+ hours battery life and as a bonus it is compatible with Google Watch and Apple Watch. You can tag fish by size and depth, log your trips based on time, date, location and water temperature and it includes GPS spot tagging and also has a Raw Sonar view as well as a fish tagging view. Overall we think this is a really good alternative for tech savvy individuals when compared to some of the more traditional brands such as Garmin and Lucky. If you aren’t into your tech then we would recommend that you stick with some of the more traditional fish finders.
